While cell phone usage as a cause for headache has not been confirmed, a recent study suggests there may be a relationship between the two. Researchers at Hallym University, South Korea recently conducted a study of medical students and their cell phone habits. Close to 20% of the students reported having at least ten headaches over the past year due to cell phone usage. In subsequent interviews, close to 98% of the students said their headaches were triggered by extended use of their cell phones.

The researchers noted that the headaches were typically mild in intensity, and usually felt on the side of the head where the cell phone was placed….. Headache    The Journal of Head and Face Pain   January 2012
