Migraine Headache
Martin V.T., et al.
Posted August 2003
Presented at: 45th Annual Scientific Meeting
American Headache Society

June 19-22, 2003; Chicago, Illinois

Objectives: To define the clinical characteristics of migrainous headache and determine if they can be differentiated from migraine headache.

Conclusions: Migrainous headaches can be differentiated from migraine headaches on the basis of their clinical characteristics. Migrainous headaches are more likely to be bilateral and have a pressing or tightening quality and a duration of < 180 minutes and > 72 hours. Chronic daily headache and rebound headache were more common in those with migrainous headache.
