0602UpdateMigaineGuide_RobbinsOur blog today can’t be accessed without a Medscape account; basically the article/study indicated that 1.medical education is relatively poor in the headache arena(for students and medical residents), 2.that headache care is not particularly good across racial lines, 3.not good in general, 4. and opioids are used too often as “first line” treatments for migraine. I agree, in general, with these conclusions; in particular, I have seen education of medical residents go downhill over 13 years, as the pharm. companies have greatly pulled back on education(much of our good education was driven by the companies)…..
