Headache recurrence-related factors in migraine patients
M.J.A. Lainez

Cephalalgia, May 2000

Objective: To establish what factor or factors determine headache recurrence durng migraine attacks.

Conclusions: The only factors that we now know that could predict the appearance of recurrence in a determined patient are a high frequency of attacks and probably a high intensity of these attacks. There are no differences between the different treatments, but a higher response rate could determine a higher recurrent rate. These factors could be important in comparing recurrence rates in clinical trials.
